Fireworks by Dale Chihuly

I am feeling stuck whilst analyzing the word, “contrast”, and its vast meaning. This is me jotting down rushed thoughts, nothing more. Living in a high-rise building liberates my gaze not only to screen the architectural buildings standing tall in the city of Dubai, but also to relish the contrast that is created by the contours of the buildings against a sky blanket.

In such a setting, can contrast be seen as a loud voice of an object/thing desperately seeking attention and approval of its existence? Or, on the contrary, to see contrasted elements as a subtle voice calling for an opportunity to stretch our thinking beyond its limitations and to appreciate the ability of the mind to admire two distinctive aspects of tremendous contrasting components that exist in the same space. My takeaway is, “Be more sensitive to the finer things of life; happiness stems from the little things you do passionately.”

I leave you with those words of wisdom in the field of Art: Art elevates the human mind, sublimates his base emotions, and cultivates his sense to be more sensitive to the finer things in life. Art gives peace and vitality to the human mind and soul; and as children are to women of whom they are born, so is Art to its creator; the artistic genius. To cultivate one's mind so that art may “speak” is to raise oneself above the level of the animal kingdom; it is to give freedom to man’s spirit which is the real joy of life. Being passionate about art in all forms, shapes and meanings; what you see in the below beautiful piece of art by Dale Chihuly could be different from the creator. Let your mind and thoughts travel beyond the shape.
